This sustained growth in the arms trade with the kingdom comes as Madrid blocks all exchanges with Israel’s defense industry. The veto prohibits both Spanish sales and the purchase of Israeli technologies, despite their strategic importance for the national army, even as Rabat and Tel-Aviv have recently strengthened their own security cooperation.

The Sánchez government’s firm stance is also having legal repercussions for local companies. Steelmaker Sidenor is facing accusations of complicity in crimes against humanity over deliveries to Israel.
