Spain and Morocco Strengthen Security Ties to Combat Transnational Crime

The convention on cooperation in security and the fight against crime between Morocco and Spain is a reality. It was adopted on Monday by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Spanish Congress of Deputies.
This convention, which received the favorable opinion of the Spanish Council of Ministers a few days ago, is based on the vision of the two countries in the fight against crime. It takes into account criminal phenomena and security challenges. It also concerns human trafficking, terrorism, drug trafficking and new manifestations of transnational crime.
In total, the convention has 15 articles and focuses on cooperation and the details of crimes under the agreement linking the two countries, the Spanish government said.
The agreement also emphasizes the provisions for the fight against organized crime, particularly terrorism. It also mentions cooperation in the context of operational activities and investigations against various forms of crime.
