Spain and Morocco Sign Security Pact to Combat Transnational Crime

The Spanish government has authorized on Tuesday the Convention between the Kingdom of Spain and Morocco. From now on, the two countries will work together on security and the fight against crime.
The decision was made during the Council of Ministers chaired by Pedro Sanchez, the Head of Government. During the session, it was also decided to submit the Convention to the two chambers of Parliament.
The Presidency of the Spanish Government indicated that the two countries thought of this Convention because of the increase in crime, human trafficking, terrorism, drug trafficking and new manifestations of organized transnational crime, reports the MAP.
The Convention consists of a preamble and fifteen articles that detail the crimes in question, as well as the most important aspects in the field of cooperation. This agreement also emphasizes the provisions relating to the fight against organized crime, with a specific reference to terrorism, specifies the same source.
