Souss-Massa Region Unveils Industrial Land Guide to Boost Investment and Exports

An industrial land guide has just been produced by the Regional Investment Center (CRI of Souss-Massa, with among other objectives, to support the regional Industrial Acceleration Plan (PAI).

These tools will also contribute to creating an attractive and conducive environment for the emergence of an exporting and competitive industry in the region, notes Aujourd’hui Le Maroc.

According to Marouane Abdelati, "this industrial land guide is produced in collaboration with several partners and presents the industrial land offer that the Souss-Massa region has, highlighting the attractiveness factors that will help us mobilize a number of industrial investments at the regional level".

Known as a tourist region, Souss-Massa can also be an industrial destination par excellence, he supports, adding that "the guide comes to highlight and present the planned and mobilized industrial offers at the level of Agadir, Tiznit, Oulad Teima, and soon Tata to be able to host industries that will bring a lot of added value to the region and contribute to job creation". For his part, Brahim Hafidi, president of the Souss-Massa regional council, recalled the incentives granted to investors in certain industrial zones in the region, in particular a direct subsidy of 250 DH per square meter capped at one hectare.

The development of this guide accompanies the efforts made by the CRI to make industrial land a major lever to encourage the act of investing, continues Mr. Hafidi. As a result, entrepreneurs find a reliable respondent in the choice of their location through the management and promotion of the region’s entire land offer, not to mention the transparency and efficiency for better service to the investor now guaranteed by a efficient digitization system for the land acquisition stage, notes the same source.
