Souss-Massa Region Revokes Land Allocations for Industrial Projects Due to Non-Compliance

The allocation of land plots for eight industrial projects has been canceled by the Unified Regional Investment Commission of the Souss-Massa region, during a recent meeting held at the headquarters of the Wilaya of Agadir.
These land plots, with a total area of nearly 2.6 hectares, in the Agadir Integrated Industrial Park, will no longer be allocated due to the non-compliance of the investors’ commitments, announced a press release from the Souss-Massa Regional Investment Center (CRI) cited by Map.
According to the same source, the allocation of six land plots intended for other investment projects in the Ouled Taima industrial zone in the province of Taroudant had already been decided for the same reasons, nearly a year after the allocation of these lands.
Furthermore, this meeting, held under the chairmanship of the Wali of the Souss-Massa region and Governor of the Prefecture of Agadir-Ida Outanane, Ahmed Hajji, was marked by the approval of nine investment projects for an amount of 629 million dirhams. These projects, once completed, should allow the creation of nearly 1,695 direct jobs, it is specified.
