Son of Controversial Imam Iquioussen "Shocked" by French Expulsion Order

Soufiane, son of Imam Hassan Iquioussen, reacted to the validation by the Council of State of the expulsion of his father from French territory to Morocco.
Soufiane says he is "in shock". After the decision of the Council of State, he assures RMC "not to have any news" of his father. According to him, Hassan Iquioussen decided a few weeks ago to "take a step back, to rest a little bit", leaving his phone at home. The son of the Moroccan imam says he "does not understand what is happening". According to him, the whole system set up to find his father with a view to his expulsion to Morocco is "absurd".
"My father alone represents ’the enemy of the Republic’, there is nothing that justifies it today. He has never been convicted for the remarks he is accused of. He has not committed any offense or any crime," Sofiane still assures. "His country is France, we didn’t think they would go that far. There are human consequences behind it, today it’s a whole family that is suffering from it," he adds. According to him, a "legislative agenda" is hidden behind the Interior Minister’s determination to deport his father to Morocco. "He has a legislative agenda, ambitions, he decided to take my father as a scapegoat to do his publicity."
