Soccer Stars Unite: Ziyech Leads Charge to Ban Israeli Teams Amid Gaza Conflict

Hakim Ziyech never misses an opportunity to attack Israel and demonstrate his support for Palestine. His name is on the list of 48 stars and football players who are signatories to a petition calling for the exclusion of Israeli national teams and clubs from participating in continental and international events, due to the aggression committed by Israel in Gaza, according to the BBC. French international, Paul Pogba, star of Monaco, the former captain of the English club Ipswich, Sam Morsy, as well as the former "cricket" player, Moeen Ali, are also among the signatories.

The signing of the petition comes at a time when the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) plans to hold a meeting next week to discuss and debate the possibility of banning Israeli football from competitions in the Old Continent, under pressure from a group of associations affiliated with UEFA, who have united to advance this demand so that it materializes. European football federations expect Israeli athletes to suffer the same fate as Russian athletes who have been excluded from continental and international participation following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
