Singer Amel Bent’s Partner Arrested in Paris Extortion Scheme

P. was arrested on January 19, following a joint operation by the financial research and intervention brigade (BRIF) and the anti-gang unit carried out in mid-December, during which six major Parisian criminals, including Nordine Mansouri alias la Gelée, and Ihmed Mohieddine known as Jo, listed by the police, were apprehended. They are accused of attempted extortion from several Île-de-France companies specializing in luxury products, reports Le Parisien.

The interpreter of "Ma philosophie"’s new partner is accused of belonging to this criminal gang whose members targeted their victims, depriving them of their property (cash, luxury gifts...). The girlfriend of Amel Bent and former partner of the M6 presenter Ariane would be part of the team of the criminal group in charge of the "operational" part of the device. He is notably accused of having directly threatened the targeted entrepreneurs to extort them. Other arrests could take place as part of this case.

The Moroccan-born star singer has obviously not had much luck with the men in her life. Her former partner Moussa is currently in detention at the Meaux prison (Seine-et-Marne), awaiting his trial. He is suspected of having shot dead an acquaintance in Pantin (Seine-Saint-Denis) because of a financial dispute.
