Sinead O’Connor Performs in Hijab, Embraces Islamic Faith on London Stage

Since her conversion to Islam, this is the first time that the Irish singer Sinead O’Connor, now Shuhada Sadaqat, has worn the hijab on stage. She gave a concert on Monday at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London.
At 53, the artist has decided to express all her love for Islam. For some time now, she has not missed an opportunity to prove it through her clothing, on stage or elsewhere, reports alnas.fr.
Last September, she appeared on "The Late Late Show" in Ireland, wearing a red abaya and a matching veil. It was during this show that the mother of four children revealed her decision to wear the hijab. ’’I wear it when I feel like it. There are no rules as such,’’ she said, while specifying that she wears the hijab simply because she loves it.
Sinead O’Connor has a busy schedule in the coming months. Her tour begins in February 2020 in Canada and will take her to the Netherlands, Croatia, Germany and Italy. The hijab is likely to be highlighted during these shows.
