The investigation commission commissioned by the Minister of Higher Education, Abdellatif Miraoui, at the National School of Commerce and Management of Oujda (ENCGO) has produced its report. Sanctions are falling.
According to the conclusions of the inspection commission tasked with investigating the anonymous accusations of sexual harassment at ENCGO Oujda, the facts are proven. The incriminated professor and the leaders whose responsibility is engaged by virtue of their functions have been sanctioned, according to a document communicated to the presidency of the University Mohammed 1ᵉʳ Oujda.
The professor and chairman of the management department, the main person implicated in this case, is suspended from his duties with immediate effect. He will also have to appear before an urgent disciplinary council. As for the director of ENCGO, he was forced to resign. The secretary general and the deputy director (DA) were dismissed from their duties. The DA is expected to explain the reasons why she refused the complaints and claims of sexual harassment.
Other sanctions could be pronounced after the holding of the disciplinary council. The ministry could open a new investigation concerning a group of professors cited in the report of the inspection commission as accused of sexual harassment.
