Sex-for-Grades Scandal Rocks Moroccan University in Oujda

After the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences in Settat, it is the National School of Commerce and Management of Oujda (ENCGO) that is shaken by a so-called "sex for good grades" affair. The accused is, once again, a professor.
Another "sex for good grades" affair. In Oujda, a professor is accused of having asked one of his students for sexual favors in exchange for good grades and semester validation. Sexually explicit discussions between the alleged harasser and the alleged victim were widely published on Twitter on Monday. These are erotic messages sent by this teacher, via his Facebook account, to one of his students. "You want a validation, come have a blowjob session," we can read.
This case of sexual blackmail has provoked strong reactions. In a press release, the Association of Students of ENCG Oujda (ADE ENCG Oujda) and the Association of Graduates of the same institution (ENCG Alumni) denounced "any form of discrimination and sexual harassment", as well as "any form of defamation". They also invited the administration to "speed up the investigation and confirm or deny the content of the anonymous message", while ensuring to "preserve the dignity of students, graduates and professors". On Tuesday, the students of the university institution demonstrated in front of the ENCGO gate, in solidarity with the alleged student. They chanted slogans against any attack on the dignity of the students.
For its part, the Presidency of the University Mohammed Premier of Oujda issued a press release to denounce any act that would undermine the dignity of female students, by guaranteeing their rights, in order to offer them good study conditions. It intends to set up a platform where students can file their grievances, in addition to the establishment of a committee composed of professors and a psychiatrist. The ENCGO has also committed to providing legal assistance and support if necessary, to establish a toll-free number to communicate and report such incidents, and finally to make available to students an email address to receive their complaints.
