Sevilla Striker En-Nesyri Faces Potential Sanctions for Referee Criticism in La Liga

Youssef En-Nesyri, the Moroccan striker of FC Seville, could face disciplinary sanctions for criticizing a decision by referee Isidro Díaz de Mera Escuderos during the match against Villarreal (2-3) on Saturday.
En-Nesyri questioned the impartiality of the referee after Seville’s defeat against Villarreal in La Liga. "We suffered a lot. We lacked concentration, but we also suffered from the referee. He has to whistle well, not in their favor. He should have whistled the last foul. The truth is that we suffer a lot from some referees here in Spain. All season, they have done bad things... The truth is that we have to find a solution or something for the referees, who are always against Seville," said the Moroccan international after the match.
The statements could cost him dearly. The Atlas Lion risks a suspension of 4 to 12 matches, in addition to a financial fine, under Article 106 of the Disciplinary Code of the Royal Spanish Football Federation. Players Sergio Canales, José Luis Gayà and David López have suffered these sanctions for similar remarks, recalls Futbol Fantasy which specifies that the sanction against the Moroccan striker could come in a relatively long time, probably next season... if he is still in Spain.
