Sevilla Stars Bounou and En-Nesyri Face Uncertain Future Amid Transfer Speculation
Youssef En-Nesyri and Yassine Bounou, will they continue with Sevilla next season? The two Moroccan players, likely to be transferred in the next summer transfer window, have finished the season and are on vacation, after joining the Atlas Lions on Saturday for the match against South Africa in Johannesburg.
The future of the two Moroccan players is compromised at Sevilla, who are waiting for interesting offers to part with them during the next summer transfer window. The decision to keep them at Nervión or to transfer them will be up to Sevilla’s new sports director, whose identity is not yet known, after the official departure of Monchi, reports El Desmarque.
Bounou and En-Nesyri are finishing this season that got off to a bad start, but ended with Sevilla’s victory in the Europa League. The two players played an important role in the club’s rise and also experienced a historic World Cup with the Atlas Lions, who reached the semi-finals.
For the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against South Africa on Saturday, En-Nesyri and Oussama Idrissi, on loan to Feyenoord this season, were in the starting lineup, while Bounou remained on the bench. The Atlas Lions lost this match (1-2), but are qualified for the final phase of the CAN. They are second in Group K with 6 points.
