Tottenham Eyeing Morocco’s World Cup Hero Bounou in £17M Transfer from Sevilla

Moroccan international Yassine Bounou could leave Sevilla FC during the summer transfer window. The Andalusian club, needing fresh cash, thinks it would be best to part with the Moroccan.
According to the newspaper AS, the amount of his transfer would be set at 20 million euros. Having lost his starting place among the Europa League champions, Bounou nevertheless made an impression during the last World Cup where he led Morocco to the semi-finals, a first for an African country.
Tottenham Hotspur still seems to be keeping an eye on Bounou, although the club has already signed Guglielmo Vicario during this transfer period, recalls the same source. Hugo Lloris also remains an important figure in the Spurs ranks. Fraser Forster, on the other hand, has managed to carve out a place as a backup last season. The departure of Lloris could therefore see Forster move up the ranks and become Vicario’s backup.
Inter Milan would also be interested in Bounou to replace André Onana. But the potential arrival of the Moroccan goalkeeper at Spurs is considered surprising, given the recent signing of Vicario. Bounou, described as an "incredible" goalkeeper, could provide nice competition for Vicario, especially since the amount of his transfer would not represent a huge expense for a club like Tottenham.
