PSG’s $13 Million Bid for World Cup Star Bounou Rejected by Sevilla

Sevilla has just rejected the 12 million euros offered by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to recruit Yassine Bounou. The club does not intend to sell its Moroccan goalkeeper for less than 20 million euros.
PSG made this offer to Sevilla, at the request of Luis Enrique, its new coach, who owes his elimination in the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar with Spain to the Moroccan goalkeeper. Bounou, in great form during the World Cup with Morocco, had made two saves during the penalty shootout against Spain, recalls La Razón.
But Sevilla does not intend to let Bounou go for less than 20 million euros. Since the arrival of José Luis Mendilibar, the 32-year-old Moroccan player has been relegated to the background, despite his remarkable performances at the World Cup and in previous seasons. The Serbian coach prefers Dimitrovic, who was under his orders at Eibar.
Bounou, who had given up on leaving Sevilla during the January transfer window, now feels unwanted at Sanchez-Pizjuan and would be on his way out. His contract with Sevilla runs until 2025. But the club would not hesitate to sell him to PSG if a more interesting offer is made. It remains to be seen whether the two parties will reach an agreement in the coming days.
