Sevilla Coach Frustrated as Transfer Speculation Swirls Around Star Goalkeeper Bounou
The Sevilla FC technician, José Luis Mendilibar, does not hide his irritation at the speculation surrounding the transfers of his players, particularly regarding Yassine Bounou to Al-Hilal (Saudi Arabia).
According to Mendilibar, the real culprit is the mismatch between the competition calendar and the transfer market. "The competitions start before the teams are even finalized. It’s incomprehensible, but we have to comply with it," he fumes.
As for the future of the team and potential new recruits, the coach admits the uncertainty that looms until September 1st: "Everything can change in a minute. We won’t know anything before that date." When asked about the Sergio Ramos rumor, Mendilibar remains evasive, unlike President José Castro who had previously ruled out this option.
Mendilibar sends a clear message: "I asked that my team not be touched. We already have two injured in that position and other moves could follow. If Bono or Acuña leave, we’ll have to find replacements."
