Severe Weather Disrupts Spain-Morocco Ferry Routes, Cancels Almeria-Nador Sailings

The bad weather currently affecting a large part of Spain has prompted local authorities to cancel several boat departures, particularly to Morocco.
Thus, the Port Authority of Almeria (APA) decided on Monday to cancel two departures to the city of Nador, the local press reports. The Baleària company’s ferry scheduled to depart at 10 am yesterday was canceled, as was the Trasmediterranea maritime company’s ferry on the same route.
A lull is expected on Tuesday and the links will be able to resume normally with a departure at 10 am in the morning for northern Morocco.
Yesterday, the Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) had placed about thirty Spanish provinces on orange alert due to the risk of strong winds, showers and even avalanches.
