Severe Thunderstorms and Hail Prompt Red Alert in Southern Morocco

A new weather alert has just been issued by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM), which announces very heavy thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusts of wind until Sunday.
Thus, very heavy thunderstorms (70-120 mm) are expected from this Friday 6pm until Sunday 11pm in the provinces of Zagora, Tinghir, Errachidia, Ouarzazate and Tata, the DGM specifies in a red alert bulletin.
It is an orange alert bulletin (30–70 mm) that is planned during the same period in Assa-Zag, Taroudant, Midelt, Es-Semara, Figuig, Azilal, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Tiznit, Guelmim, Sidi Ifni and Al Haouz, warns the DGM.
