Senegalese Man’s Conflicting COVID-19 Test Results Raise Questions About Screening Accuracy

Before leaving Senegal, a man tested positive for the coronavirus, but the test carried out after his arrival in Casablanca turned out to be negative. Are the screening tests not reliable?
"I took the test in Senegal, they told me at the airport that I was positive. When I arrived in Morocco in Casablanca, I took another test which turned out to be negative," said Mouhamed. For Mamadou Ndiaye, Director of Prevention in Senegal, this false negative test is due to certain margins of error.
"We must keep our reason. Who to believe? The tests, it’s always the people who handle them, the errors are human. All tests can potentially generate a false negative result and several factors can influence their reliability, such as the time when it is done and the skill of the employee who performs it," he tried to explain to WalfNet.
But one question arose: Can a person tested positive for Covid-19 travel? "We do not control the people who leave our country. We only control those who enter Senegal," the director replied.
