US Seeks Arab Support for Regional Peace Summit, Morocco Signals Willingness

Morocco would have given its in-principle agreement to participate in the regional summit that the United States intends to organize in the coming weeks with several Arab countries. For its part, Palestine says no to US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
In addition to obtaining new normalization agreements between certain Arab countries and Israel, the tour of the US Secretary of State in the Middle East is part of, among other things, the holding of this summit in one of the Gulf sheikhs, reports the newspaper Israel Hayom. A senior Emirati diplomat is of great use to Mike Pompeo in the negotiations with the various Arab countries.
Already, Morocco, Bahrain, Oman, Sudan and Chad have promised to send their representatives to the summit, the same source specifies. As for Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan, they have not yet responded favorably to the US invitation. However, these countries could send their representatives due to a tacit agreement. According to the Emirati diplomat, Palestine does not intend to participate in this summit.
On Tuesday, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo began a tour that will take him to Israel, Bahrain, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Sudan.
