Saudi Club Al-Shabab Unable to Afford Hakim Ziyech Transfer Due to Financial Constraints

The Saudi club Al-Shabab is still keen to acquire the services of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech, but it is facing a major obstacle.
Al-Shabab does not have the means to recruit Hakim Ziyech. "We made great efforts to sign Hakim Ziyech during the winter transfer window, but the budget rationalization prevented the successful conclusion of this deal," said Mohamed Al-Nasser, vice-president of the Saudi club. The club is facing huge financial difficulties. "The club is suffering from financial challenges, as the previous administration has exhausted all its financial resources, which has negatively affected the possibility of concluding new transactions on the transfer market," he added.
According to Turkish media, Al-Shabab offered the Moroccan international a huge contract worth a total of 37.5 million euros over two and a half years to join their squad, reports Turkish media. But the financial difficulties facing the club prevent it from realizing its wish to recruit the Atlas Lion to strengthen its squad.
After Morocco’s elimination in the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN Côte d’Ivoire 2023), Ziyech returned to Turkey, where he participated in training on Saturday, February 3 with Galatasaray, who are preparing for the upcoming competitions in the Turkish championship. He joined the Turkish club, the reigning Turkish champion, on August 19 on loan with a purchase option.
