Saudi Club Al Nassr FC Faces Standoff as Moroccan Star Amrabat Rejects Pay Cut Amid Coronavirus Crisis

Nordin Amrabat does not want to hear about a reduction in his salary due to the coronavirus. From the Netherlands where he is confined, the player has let the management of the Saudi club, Al Nassr FC, know that he would leave if they reduced his salary.
Several clubs have started negotiations with their players in order to proceed with a reduction in salaries. This, in order to anticipate an inevitable financial crisis. But this is not to the liking of some who do not envisage such a sacrifice in the name of the crisis related to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the Saudi media, the Moroccan international "rejected the proposal of his club", indicating that "his salary is already very low".
According to the same source, "if Amrabat has refused any salary reduction, it is certainly because he did not obtain the desired increase a few months ago".
