Saudi Arabia Restricts Visa Access for Moroccans and 13 Other Nationalities

Saudi Arabia is imposing a restriction on visas for Moroccans, Algerians, Tunisians, Egyptians and ten other nationalities wishing to travel to its territory.
No more multiple-entry visas for Moroccan travelers and thirteen others wishing to go to Saudi Arabia. This is the decision taken by the Saudi authorities. This decision, which has been in effect since February 1, 2025, concerns tourist, business and family visit visas, reports Barlamane.com. This restriction aims to put an end to the abuses observed in the use of long-term visas, particularly during the pilgrimage to Mecca, to better regulate the entry of pilgrims and to fight against illegal immigration during the Hajj period.
The Saudi authorities have indeed found that some travelers would have taken advantage of these authorizations to perform the Hajj without official registration or to illegally extend their stay on Saudi territory. A situation that has contributed to tragedies during previous editions of the pilgrimage. Last year, more than 1,200 pilgrims lost their lives due to extreme weather conditions and an uncontrolled influx of unregistered participants.
Only single-entry visas, valid for a maximum of 30 days, will now be issued to Moroccan travelers wishing to go to Saudi Arabia. They must ensure that they strictly comply with the new migration rules. Any violation could result in sanctions or administrative
