The National Road No. 5 connecting Laâyoune to Gueltate Zemmour and the Regional Road No. 109 connecting Laâyoune to Tarfaya are now difficult to access due to the phenomenon of sand encroachment generated by strong gusts of wind.
According to the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, the detour is now possible on the link between Laâyoune and Tarfaya, through National Road No. 1. In this regard, the ministerial department has called on road users to be more cautious and to respect road signs for greater safety.
In addition, the emergency number 05.37.71.17.17 is made available to users to contact the ministry if needed.
