Sami Yusuf Concert Marred by Overcrowding and Chaos at Fez Sacred Music Festival

The concert given by British-Azerbaijani singer Sami Yusuf on Saturday at the 27th edition of the Fez Festival of Sacred Music of the World did not go smoothly due to poor organization.
Sami Yusuf’s concert turned into "chaos" due to poor organization. Many spectators who had bought their tickets at very high prices did not find their seats due to the printing of tickets in excess of the available seats. Angry, they greeted the singer with boos.
On social media, Sami expressed regrets. He shared again a publication written by one of the spectators, accompanied by signs showing his sadness at what happened. The person concerned expressed his disappointment due to the poor organization of the concert. He says he bought 5 first-class tickets, worth 600 dirhams each, without finding a seat. Although he and his companions arrived at 8 p.m., he claims, they did not find their seats and ended up far from the stage. Protests are raging. Shortly afterwards, the police intervened to let them move forward a bit, but they had to stand to follow the concert.
