Sahrawi Activist Denounces Alleged Moroccan Abuses at Paris Political Event

Invited to the 87th Fête de l’Humanité held on September 9, 10 and 11 in Paris, the pro-Polisario activist Sultana Khaya took the opportunity to strongly criticize Morocco.
On the sidelines of the annual gathering of left-wing and far-left movements organized by the French newspaper Humanité, Sultana Khaya met on Friday at the headquarters of the French Parliament with the deputy Jean-Paul Lecoq. She was accompanied by the representative of the Polisario Front in France, Mohamed Sidati. An opportunity for the pro-Polisario activist to attack Morocco. She denounced the alleged "violations" she would have suffered from Morocco, including "the state of siege, torture and assassination attempts," reports the news agency SPS.
In addition to the meeting with the communist deputy, the president of the Sahrawi League of Human Rights also participated in the Forum of Associations organized by the town hall of the 15th arrondissement of Paris in the presence of more than 250 human rights organizations. She chaired the Polisario delegation, present under the banner of CARASO, an association dedicated to the disappeared of the Sahara. Sultana Khaya explained that she came to "raise public awareness about the reality of the daily life of the Sahrawis" and about a claim for "the right to self-determination". She also called for an intervention by France, the "country of human rights", in favor of the Sahara.
