Ryanair Pledges Refunds for COVID-19 Cancellations, Urges Customer Patience

The low-cost airline Ryanair has committed to refunding its Moroccan and other nationality customers whose flights have been canceled due to covid-19. For now, it asks them to be patient.
Ryanair says it has received "a considerable volume of messages on social media due to covid-19". These messages are sent by customers whose flights have been canceled. The Irish airline says it has 75% fewer employees to handle the requests. In this sense, it calls on them to be patient, and recalls: "If you have received a voucher (to postpone the trip to a later date, editor’s note) from us by email, be assured that you can use it to book within the next 12 months and travel beyond that date," reports Air Journal.
In the event that the credit is not used, "you will receive a full cash refund after the expiration date; this also applies to a partial cash refund for the unused portion of the voucher," the company’s press release specifies.
Ryanair also asks customers to contact it by direct message on Facebook to register "on the cash refund waiting list". They will then be contacted directly by email. "In the weeks and months to come, we will work hard to process refund requests as quickly as possible," the company concludes.
