Ryanair Flight Diverted to Clermont-Ferrand After Failed Landing in Tours

A Ryanair plane operating the Marrakech-Tours route this Saturday, December 28, was diverted to Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme).
Departing at 6:39 a.m., a flight from Marrakech was unable to land at Tours-Val de Loire airport. The plane, a Boeing 738 from Ryanair, was able to descend and "pierce the cloud ceiling", but "after several turns, the pilot throttled up again," explains Romain, a passenger on board, to La Nouvelle République.
The aircraft finally headed for Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme). It landed there without incident around 10:15 a.m., but an hour later, the passengers were still inside because they were not allowed to leave the tarmac, the Tourangeau returning from a few days in Morocco also reports.
At Tours airport, some 200 people were supposed to fly to Marrakech at 9:50 a.m. But until 11:30 a.m., there was no sign of takeoff. They had to wait in the boarding lounge hoping to be able to take off around 12:30 p.m. An unpleasant situation for the passengers.
