Ryanair Expands Morocco Routes: New Marrakech to Zaragoza Flights Launching in April

A new route between Marrakech and Zaragoza will be launched in the spring by the low-cost airline Ryanair. This offer is in addition to flights to Paris-Beauvais.

As of April 1, 2020, Ryanair’s low-cost airline customers will benefit from two weekly flights from its base in Marrakech-Menara to Zaragoza Airport. These flights will be operated on Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 189 seats, the same company said.

According to Airjournal.fr, the departures from Morocco are scheduled for Wednesday at 3:50 pm (arrival at 6:55 pm) and Sunday at 4:10 pm (arrival at 7:15 pm), with the return flights leaving Aragon on Wednesday at 7:20 pm (arrival at 8:25 pm) and Sunday at 7:40 pm (arrival at 8:45 pm).

The same source reports that the company is not in competition and has exclusivity on this route, its 7th between Marrakech and Spain and its 46th to and from the Moroccan airport.

A company press release also invites "customers in Marrakech" to "now book flights to Zaragoza until October 2020".

The same press release offers, as part of the "launch of this new line", a promotion on the European network, "with up to 25% reduction on all flights to travel until May and available for booking until Sunday, October 13 at midnight, only on Ryanair.com".

According to the same media, Ryanair’s full 2020 program in Morocco will be announced shortly.

"As of March 31, Zaragoza will also be connected to Paris-Beauvais by Ryanair, with two weekly rotations: departures from Tillé airport on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 10:50 am (arrival at 12:40 pm), and returns from Spain at 1:05 pm (arrival at 2:55 pm). No direct or indirect competition for the low-cost on this axis," the same press release states.

Furthermore, the same media claims that the Spanish airport will be connected next summer to six other airports directly, namely Marrakech and Beauvais, plus London-Stansted, Charleroi, Milan-Bergamo and Lisbon.
