Ryanair Expands Routes: New Flights from Barcelona to Three Moroccan Cities

Ryanair plans to launch three air links from its Barcelona-El Prat base to Morocco this fall. The Irish low-cost carrier will serve Agadir, Oujda and Rabat.

Ryanair will operate two weekly flights from Barcelona-El Prat to Agadir-Al Massira Airport starting November 1, 2021, reports Air Journal. These flights will be operated with a Boeing 737-800 with 189 seats. The plane will take off on Mondays at 4:10 pm (arrival at 5:45 pm) and Fridays at 9:10 am (arrival at 10:45 am). As for the return flights, the aircraft will leave Morocco on Mondays at 6:10 pm (arrival at 9:45 pm) and Fridays at 11:10 am (arrival at 2:45 pm).

Starting November 2, the Irish low-cost carrier will connect Barcelona-El Prat to Oujda-Angads Airport. Departures are scheduled on Tuesdays at 3:00 pm (arrival at 3:35 pm) and Saturdays at 12:00 pm (arrival at 12:35 pm). As for the return flights leaving Morocco, they are scheduled on Tuesdays at 4:00 pm (arrival at 6:35 pm) and Saturdays at 1:00 pm (arrival at 3:35 pm).

The company will also launch a new link between Barcelona and Rabat-Salé on Tuesdays and Saturdays starting November 2, with departures respectively at 3:00 pm and 12:00 pm (arrivals at 3:35 pm and 12:35 pm). The return flights will leave the Moroccan capital on Tuesdays at 4:00 pm (arrival at 6:35 pm) and Saturdays at 1:00 pm (arrival at 3:35 pm).

"The low-cost airline Ryanair is rapidly expanding in Morocco. We can imagine that it would be a great success if it obtained slots in Algeria... Ryanair is constantly calling on Europe to defend its rights; it could have the elegance to order aircraft from the Old Continent, from time to time," observes Fabrice Dariot of Bourse-des-vols.com, a French specialist in cheap flights. He thus alludes to the 100% Boeing 737 fleet of the company.
