Ryanair’s Double Standard: Moroccan Travelers Face Unfair Luggage Fees at Home Airports

Many Moroccan and foreign travelers are outraged by the behavior of the crews of the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair in Moroccan airports.
A Moroccan passenger was forced to pay a fine due to non-compliance with Ryanair’s policy regarding the size of luggage. However, he has been traveling with the same belongings from European airports without additional fees. Enough to arouse the indignation of many Moroccan travelers who complain about this situation. This behavior leaves room for several questions. Do the Moroccan authorities apply the rules of aviation more strictly than in Europe?
Does this practice constitute an infringement of travelers’ rights, particularly in the absence of clear mechanisms to examine and follow up on their complaints? What about the control of foreign companies operating in Morocco and the policy that allows them to work in the Moroccan airspace? It is urgent that the competent authorities intervene to put an end to this practice.
