Ryanair CEO Urges UK to Ease Post-Brexit Visa Rules for European Workers Amid Staff Shortage

Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary, facing a staff shortage, has strongly criticized the British government, calling for a review of post-Brexit immigration policy.
"We have this weird situation at the moment where in the UK I can get visas to bring in Moroccans to work as cabin crew. But I can’t get visas for young Portuguese, Italians, Slovaks..." O’Leary said on BBC.
In this regard, the executive urged the British authorities to adopt a more "practical and common sense" approach to post-Brexit policy, in order to allow more European workers to fill vacant positions.
For him, more visas for European workers would help alleviate disruptions in air travel, he said. To justify its policy, the government has stated that it wants companies to invest in British workers.
