Ryanair Cancels 102 Flights at Charleroi Airport Amid Belgian Pilot Strike

The airline Ryanair will cancel flights serving Morocco this weekend at Charleroi airport due to the strike of its pilots based in Belgium. What are these flights?
In Belgium, the pilots’ strike is impacting Ryanair’s operations. After deciding to use independent pilots to replace the strikers, the company announced the cancellation of 54 flights to and from Charleroi airport this Saturday, July 15, 2023, instead of the 44 flights initially planned. These include flights to Rabat/Salé R6932 and Nador FR6046, and those from Rabat/Salé FR6933 and Nador FR6045. The Irish low-cost airline has also canceled 48 round-trip flights scheduled for Sunday, including those to Essaouira FR5280, Tangier FR8073, Oujda FR8774 and Fez FR5001, and those from Tangier FR8074, Essaouira FR5281, Oujda FR8775 and Fez FR5002. As a result, it is asking passengers not to show up at Charleroi airport.
Didier Lebbe, permanent secretary of the CNE, says that more than 80% of Ryanair pilots based at Charleroi airport will observe a strike movement this weekend, reacting to the 20% cuts made at the start of the pandemic to help the airline get through the crisis, and the respect of their rest periods. They are demanding better wages, reports Moustique.be. Demands that have not yet been met by the company’s management.
