Russia Offers to Boost Agricultural Exports to Drought-Stricken Morocco Tenfold

Faced with the economic situation and the drought that have severely affected Morocco, Russia is considering multiplying its agricultural exports to the kingdom by 10.
The announcement was made by the Russian Federal Agency for Export Promotion "AgroExport", affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture, specifying that Moscow is ready to multiply its agricultural exports to Morocco by 10, compared to 2021, reports the Sputnik agency.
Last year, the volume of Russian agricultural exports to the kingdom stood at 127,600 tons, worth $49 million, or only 0.1% of Russian exports to the rest of the world during the same year, a statement from "AgroExport" notes. The sales specifically concerned wheat (61.4%), meats and other edible animal products (19.4%), and frozen fish (14.9%).
The same source specifies that these exports to Morocco can be increased by $500 million per year, including products such as cereals, meats, vegetable oils, sugar, cakes, or starch.
