In his speech during this meeting, the CEO announced his intention to develop a strategy to get out of the status quo by taking advantage of the exceptional geographical situation of the Kingdom, in order to position Morocco as the gateway to Africa.
To this end, he explains that the transformation into a stronger and more resilient airline can serve as the accelerator of the tourism strategy through the operation of Moroccan tourist destinations via point-to-point, domestic and hub.
According to Aujourd’hui le Maroc, Addou reported the positive impact of advanced regionalization on domestic air transport. In this regard, he announced the management of 28 domestic routes by the national company, thus offering more than 40,000 seats and 395 flights per week and connecting 17 Moroccan cities.
The CEO did not fail to present the company’s multiple financial challenges and its failures. "We went from 30 to 50 aircraft at a time when our competitors have tripled or even quadrupled in size. This is a 2% annual increase in the number of aircraft when the global average was 7% during this period," he said.
