Royal Air Maroc Suspends Flights to France Amid Public Sector Strike

Due to a public sector strike planned in France on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has decided to suspend flights to and from France.
According to a RAM press release, this measure was taken in response to the call from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) asking airlines to reduce their flight schedules during this day.
The Moroccan airline company says it is trying to minimize the impact of these cancellations by transferring customers to other flights, informing those who have provided contacts during their booking that they will receive confirmations of their new flight by email and SMS. In addition, RAM invites passengers to check the status of their flight and update their contacts via the "manage my booking" section on the company’s website.
For RAM customers affected by these cancellations who do not wish to take the proposed replacement flights, the company offers the possibility of getting a refund or changing the date of their flight free of charge, under certain conditions.
This offer is valid for a new travel date within 15 days following the date of the cancelled flight, provided the initial length of stay is respected. However, the company specifies that "for any change of destination, the possible difference in taxes will be borne by the passenger." Passengers whose flights have been cancelled are invited not to go to the airport and to contact their initial point of sale or the RAM call center for more information.
