Royal Air Maroc Soars Beyond: Transforming Air Travel into Holiday Adventures

After consolidating its Casablanca hub as the gateway between Africa, Europe and the Americas, the national airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is reinventing the travel experience with a new chapter dedicated to holidays.
100% holiday destinations. This is the new feature at Royal Air Maroc (RAM). The airline is offering flights to the island of Sal in Cape Verde, Zurich or Munich in October, to satisfy the desire for relaxation and discovery of Moroccan travellers, families and globetrotters. The first flight operated from Casablanca to N’Djamena on 18 September last was a great success. "Each new route expands our offer well beyond air transport. We want to offer a real travel experience, from the plane ticket to the turnkey stays," says Hamid Addou, CEO of RAM.
This ambition is part of the unprecedented growth programme: 200 aircraft by 2037, compared to around fifty today. The company received 7 new aircraft in 2025 and will receive 6 more before the end of the year, bringing the fleet to 63 aircraft. At the same time, it is preparing a call for tenders for the acquisition of 188 new aircraft. Gradually, RAM is positioning itself as a full-fledged tour operator, combining transport and tourist experience. These efforts have been successful: last year, the company achieved a turnover of more than 20 billion dirhams in 2024 (+15% in one year).
