Royal Air Maroc to Resume Flights to Chad After COVID-19 Suspension

The resumption of Royal Air Maroc flights to Chad will be effective in the coming days. This destination had been removed from Royal Air Maroc’s flight program since last July due to the health crisis caused by the coronavirus.
This decision was made during a working session between the foreign ministers of the two countries in Rabat on October 26. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in several sectors. During the discussions, the Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs wished for the resumption of flights to his country "as soon as the health conditions allow".
Chad is no longer one of the destinations included in the flight program of the Royal Air Maroc company. Last July, and after a period marked by the suspension of flights following the Covid-19 health crisis, the company announced a recovery plan that cancels certain air links. In addition to Chad, Angola had also been removed from RAM’s flight program.
To recall, the N’Djamena international airport had been served for the first time on June 21, 2014. This link had played a major role as a transfer platform with the rest of the world.
