Royal Air Maroc Reroutes 15 Weekly Flights After Algeria Airspace Closure

Following the closure of the Algerian airspace to civilian and military aircraft, Royal Air Maroc announces that about 15 flights per week to Tunisia, Turkey and Egypt will be rearranged.
A source close to RAM assesses the consequences of this decision by the Algerian authorities. Thus, the impacts are minimal for the Moroccan company, which sees solutions to satisfy its customers. Only 15 frequencies per week use the Algerian airspace. These are Tunisia, Turkey and Egypt.
The same source reassures that "RAM, far from canceling its flights, plans to bypass the Algerian airspace to the north," adding that these countries "can easily be found over the Mediterranean."
To recall, Algeria decided on Wednesday, September 22, the "immediate" closure of its airspace to all Moroccan civilian and military aircraft as well as aircraft registered in Morocco, the Algerian presidency announced.
