Royal Air Maroc Plans Layoffs Amid COVID-19 Aviation Crisis

We know a little more about the reasons for the convening of the company committee today at Royal Air Maroc (RAM). Management intends to proceed with layoffs in order to cope with the crisis shaking the air transport sector due to Covid-19.
A first wave of layoffs is expected for this July 2 and will affect all categories of personnel, indicates Maghreb Intelligence.
For the moment, no details are given on the number of agents concerned by this measure.
To recall, RAM, severely affected by the Covid-19 health crisis, had more than half of its fleet grounded since mid-March. A situation that has caused it enormous damage in the order of several hundred million dirhams.
