Royal Air Maroc Plans to Cut 370 Flight Attendant Jobs Amid Restructuring

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is gearing up for the new wave of layoffs. This time, the airline wants to part ways with flight attendants and stewards recruited by the subsidiary Atlas Multiservices (AMS).
This RAM subsidiary in charge of recruitment and hiring of personnel employs about 1,500 employees. Among them, 1,100 stewards and flight attendants. The airline has started negotiations with the staff union representatives with a view to eliminating 370 jobs, reports Le360.
RAM first proposed a voluntary departure plan with a 25% increase over the amount of severance pay provided for in the context of an economic redundancy procedure. According to a source close to the file, the ongoing negotiations with the AMS union office have resulted in the idea of revising the number of employees to be dismissed, initially set at 370.
The airline thanked 140 of its employees in July. Job cuts could subsequently be made at RAM Handling, RAM’s call center, its administrative staff, etc.
