Royal Air Maroc Offers Free Flight Postponements Amid Coronavirus Outbreak

The spread of the coronavirus is forcing Royal Air Maroc (RAM) to postpone some of its flights, especially to countries seriously affected by the epidemic. The company has announced to travelers who have planned to depart on March 31, 2020 that if they wish, they can postpone their trip until May 31, 2020, free of charge.
RAM has announced that it has taken special measures to help its customers manage their travel, following the latest developments related to the Covid-19 coronavirus. These provisions have already proven their worth since the spread of the virus on flights to and from China and Italy. This is what justifies the fact that the company wants to extend them to all its flights.
Customers can postpone their trip free of charge, no later than 72 hours before the flight’s departure. They also have the option of canceling the trip free of charge, no later than 72 hours before the flight’s departure, against a ticket of the same value, valid for six months on the company’s flights exclusively.
Two people were infected with the coronavirus in Morocco, after having stayed in Italy. The number of suspected cases, according to the latest health monitoring bulletin from the Ministry of Health, speaks of 57 people. But in total, 55 cases have tested negative for Covid-19. The Minister of Health reassured the commission of social sectors in the House of Representatives that "the preventive measures taken by Morocco to contain the spread of the virus have proven effective".
It should be remembered that the coronavirus epidemic continues to spread worldwide. More than 100,000 people are infected, causing more than 3,500 deaths in 94 countries. China is at the top of the ranking, with 3,070 deaths, followed by Italy where several cities have been placed in quarantine, at least until April 3. France is also on the list, with 949 infections and 16 deaths.
