Royal Air Maroc Launches New Casablanca-Toronto Route

Royal Air Maroc inaugurated a new air route connecting Casablanca to Toronto on Sunday. The inaugural flight, operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, transported 204 passengers from Casablanca to Toronto. The return flight from Toronto recorded nearly 275 passengers, for a total of nearly 480 travelers on the two inaugural flights.
This new route will be operated three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The flights will depart Casablanca at 4:45 pm (local time) to arrive in Toronto at 7:25 pm (local time). The return flights will leave Toronto at 9:30 pm (local time) to land in Casablanca at 10:50 am the next day.
The Casablanca-Toronto route complements the airline’s existing flights to Canada, which already included a route to Montreal since 1975. It strengthens the company’s network on the American continent, with existing flights to New York, Washington, Miami and São Paulo. The route to São Paulo was restored on December 7th.
The opening of this route is part of the Development Plan signed between Royal Air Maroc and the Moroccan government in July 2023. Royal Air Maroc indicated that this new service aims to promote tourism in Morocco and strengthen economic relations with Canada, but also to meet strong demand from the Moroccan community residing in the country.
