Royal Air Maroc Resumes Flights to Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport After Pandemic Pause

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced the resumption in the spring of its link between Casablanca and Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, the second airport served in Istanbul. Inaugurated in June 2019, this line has remained suspended since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Thus, as of May 14 next, the national company will connect Casablanca-Mohammed V Airport to Istanbul-Sabiha Gokcen Airport, with four weekly flights.
Departures are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 7:30 a.m. to arrive at 2:05 p.m., return flights leaving Turkey at 3:05 p.m. to land at 6:00 p.m. These flights will be operated with a Boeing 737-800 that can accommodate 12 passengers in Business class and 147 in Economy.
On this route, RAM will compete with Air Arabia Maroc and Pegasus Airlines. The company had also relaunched, a few months ago, flights to Istanbul’s main airport with two daily rotations, where it faces Turkish Airlines. Added to this are RAM’s flights to Istanbul from Tangier and Oujda.
