Royal Air Maroc flight attendant sent back to Morocco hours after trying to stay in Italy
A 25-year-old Moroccan flight attendant allegedly tried to use a Royal Air Maroc stopover in Italy to disappear. After hiding his uniform under a coverall, he reportedly left the aircraft and crossed the airport grounds.

He thought he could go unnoticed by changing clothes. A 25-year-old Moroccan flight attendant employed by Royal Air Maroc allegedly tried to flee at Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna, in northern Italy. According to Italian newspaper Il Giornale, which reported the incident on October 12, the young man was seeking to remain in Italy rather than fly back with his crew.
The plan was simple. After arriving in Bologna aboard an aircraft operated by Morocco’s national airline, the flight attendant allegedly left the plane and put on a coverall over his work uniform.
But his movements through the airport facilities allegedly soon drew the attention of border police officers. They intercepted him before he could leave the airport.
Intercepted by police, he is sent back to Morocco
The incident went beyond a simple attempt at illegal immigration. According to information gathered by Italian journalists, the flight attendant was reportedly reported to the judicial authorities for disrupting public services and endangering air transport safety. His actions allegedly disrupted airport operations and required the intervention of law enforcement.
After his arrest, the young Moroccan underwent checks by border police. The authorities reportedly then decided to refuse him entry to Italy and arrange his return to Morocco.
His plan was thwarted within a few hours. The Royal Air Maroc employee boarded another plane bound for the Kingdom that evening.
