Royal Air Maroc Faces Scrutiny Over Flight Cancellations and Delays
A deputy from the Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM) has questioned the Moroccan government about the repeated postponements or cancellations of Royal Air Maroc flights in recent times, causing inconvenience to its customers.
In an oral question addressed to the Minister of Transport and Logistics, deputy Hicham Sabiry denounced these postponements and cancellations of flights by the Moroccan airline. Changes that have disrupted the vacation schedules of some passengers and led others to fail to honor their family or professional commitments.
According to the parliamentarian, these postponements or cancellations of flights would be due to a malfunction in the reservation system or a lack of seats, while customers have taken care to book and confirm their reservations. This situation has forced passengers to spend long hours in airports, left to their own devices, waiting for Royal Air Maroc to charter new flights for them, causing them significant psychological and financial damage.
Faced with this situation, the PAM deputy has called on the Ministry of Transport and Logistics to take urgent measures to improve the quality of air transport services in Morocco, in anticipation of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) Morocco and the 2030 World Cup, stressing the importance of guaranteeing the rights of passengers by respecting the scheduled flight times and meeting their needs.
