Royal Air Maroc and Brazil’s GOL Form Partnership to Enhance Brazil-Morocco Air Travel

Royal Air Maroc and the Brazilian airline GOL, a heavyweight in air transport in Latin America, have just concluded a partnership that promises to facilitate travel between Brazil and Morocco. This agreement, effective since November 21, allows passengers of the two companies to benefit from code sharing on flights connecting São Paulo to Casablanca.
Specifically, travelers will now be able to book a single ticket for a journey combining the flights of the two companies, with significant benefits, it is promised: attractive fares, ticket purchase in local currency, simplified check-in and automatic baggage transfer during connections. Furthermore, this partnership opens up the respective air networks of the two companies. Royal Air Maroc customers will be able to easily reach many Brazilian cities such as Rio de Janeiro or Brasilia via São Paulo thanks to GOL flights. Conversely, GOL passengers will have access to more than twenty destinations in Africa via the Casablanca hub.
"This is a real opportunity for our customers to discover Morocco and Africa," said Celso Ferrer, CEO of GOL, highlighting the importance of this agreement to strengthen ties between the two continents. On the Royal Air Maroc side, Abdelhamid Addou, the CEO, hailed "a step forward" to meet the growing demand in the African and Latin American markets.
GOL thus becomes the first Brazilian airline to establish a presence on the African continent, offering the largest number of flights between the two regions. This agreement allows Royal Air Maroc to consolidate its presence in South America and offer its customers privileged access to GOL’s vast network, which serves 65 airports across Brazil.
The two companies do not intend to stop there. They plan to gradually expand their collaboration by adding new destinations and soon allowing travelers to earn loyalty points on their respective programs, Smiles for GOL and Safar Flyer for Royal Air Maroc.
