Royal Air Maroc Extends Suspension of Casablanca-Beijing Flights Amid Coronavirus Concerns

Faced with the coronavirus epidemic, which is spreading in China, but also around the world, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has maintained the suspension of Casablanca-Beijing flights.
"The suspension of the line is maintained. [...] We don’t know when the line will be restored. For now, the flights are canceled one by one," a source close to the file told TelQuel.
After the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic in the city of Wuhan, China, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) had issued a press release dated January 30 to announce the suspension of the Casablanca-Beijing air route, from January 31 to February 29.
Reason given: the sharp drop in demand for flights. "Customers originally scheduled on this line beyond January 31 will be personally informed, using the contact details in their booking files," the press release said.
On January 16, 2020, RAM had launched the Casablanca-Beijing route.
