Royal Air Maroc Expands Summer Flights for Moroccan Diaspora Communities

The airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has decided to strengthen, this summer, its flights to the countries where Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) live.

Royal Air Maroc is showing more interest in Moroccans residing abroad (MREs). In a press release focused on its summer offer, the company indicates that a particular reinforcement will be provided on the markets hosting large communities of Moroccans of the world and which experience strong demand in the summer. The lines connecting Casablanca to Barcelona, Bologna, Malaga, Madrid, Brussels and Milan will thus go to two daily flights, it specified.

The national airline announced on Monday the implementation of an offer of 6.2 million seats on more than 90 destinations across the four continents. It will explain that this increase in supply follows the restoration of almost all the routes that had been suspended during the health crisis and the opening of new lines in 2022 such as Tel Aviv, Dubai, Seville, Porto, etc. And to specify: "Today, Royal Air Maroc has recovered nearly 95% of its 2019 network. The company is thus deploying its new capacities to facilitate the travel of its clients during the summer period, in particular the Moroccans of the world."

Low-cost tickets for MREs?

In 2021, the airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) had offered reduced and fixed rates to facilitate the return of Moroccans residing abroad (MREs), in accordance with the instructions of King Mohammed VI. The national airline then offered very affordable prices to members of the Moroccan community established abroad for the summer period. These rates were offered depending on the destinations and the number of family members. The biggest beneficiaries were those who traveled as a family with a round-trip ticket from a European country to Morocco at 97 euros including tax per passenger for a family of four or more.
