Royal Air Maroc Expands European Routes, Targets Germany and Switzerland

The airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has decided to expand its route network this summer, in order to regain market share lost due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The launch of new connections between Morocco and Germany, Austria and Switzerland is under study.
Royal Air Maroc now plans to further expand its route network, reports Optimizing Miles. In the coming weeks and months, the airline wishes to add new connections to its network, including destinations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Before the appearance of Covid-19, the national airline served German airports such as Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich. Geneva, Vienna and Zurich complete the road network in the DACH region. Currently, RAM only offers connections between Casablanca and Frankfurt and Geneva, as well as connections from Nador to Düsseldorf and Frankfurt.
The national airline Royal Air Maroc plans to return to Munich and operate flights to Berlin-Brandenburg Airport. Other Moroccan cities will also be served. "RAM would like to operate flights to Germany from other Moroccan cities like Oujda," said CEO Abdelhamid Addou in an interview with Aerotelegraph. The other possible destinations are Düsseldorf and Frankfurt. The company also plans to schedule flights to Germany, Austria and Switzerland from Agadir, Marrakech or Tangier.
